🎶 Studio Policies
Scheduling & Attendance
Lessons are scheduled on a recurring weekly basis to ensure consistent progress. Please arrive on time and prepared with your instrument, music, and any assigned materials.
If you are running late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time to respect the next student’s slot. Please respect lessons before you and my personal time by not arriving to your lesson before your scehduled time.
Make-Up Lessons
Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled as a no-charge make-up lesson.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed make-up lessons, are forfeited without reimbursement.
Make-up lessons must be scheduled within two weeks of the original lesson date, based on availability.
Tuition & Payment
Lesson tuition is charged monthly and due at the first lesson of each month.
Current rates:
$200 — 30-minute weekly lessons
$300 — 45-minute weekly lessons
$400 — 60-minute weekly lessons
Payments may be made by cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
Tuition reserves your weekly time slot; there are no refunds or credits for missed lessons except in the event of teacher cancellation. Bonus: Free lesson during any 5-week months!
Teacher Cancellations
If I need to cancel a lesson for any reason (outside of scheduled performances), the lesson will be rescheduled.
Holidays & Breaks
The studio generally follows major holidays. A full calendar of planned breaks will be provided at the start of each month or upon request. Planned Weeks Off: Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, July 4.
Materials
Students are responsible for bringing their instrument, music, and any required accessories (mouthpiece, valve oil, etc.) to each lesson. I’m happy to recommend materials or help with purchasing supplies when needed.
Practice Expectations
Consistent practice is key to musical growth!
Students should aim to practice at least 4–5 days per week, even for short sessions.
I’ll provide personalized goals and practice tips to make this both fun and effective.
Communication
Open communication is always welcome!
Parents and students are encouraged to reach out with any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is via email or text, and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
